The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a strong Corporate Accounting Manager to join the Corporate Accounting team at our Reston, VA headquarters. Reporting to the Director of General Accounting & Policy, this candidate will ensure that various accounting activities are accurately performed in compliance with GAAP, internal control requirements, and government contracting regulations. The role will have a focus on lease, inventory, and software accounting.
This position operates within a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be present in the Reston, VA office three (3) days per week. The remaining two days may be worked remotely, allowing for a balance between in-person collaboration and independent work from home. On-site days are crucial for team meetings, client interactions, and fostering a cohesive work culture. Remote days offer flexibility and the opportunity for focused work without interruptions. Candidates should be comfortable with this arrangement and should possess the ability to maintain high productivity and communication standards in both office and remote settings. The specific in-office days will be determined based on team needs and company-wide coordination.
Responsibilities:
Supervise two staff accountants responsible for the Company's lease accounting and inventory accounting.
Manage month-end close activities for assigned areas of responsibility. Assist with monthly and quarterly fluctuation and variance analyses.
Oversee the monthly lease accounting process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. Evaluate complex lease arrangements and research GAAP to ensure the appropriate accounting under ASC 842 and other relevant GAAP. Document assessments in technical memos. Ensure that lease accounting schedules are reviewed and maintained for control purposes. Serve as a primary liaison to the Company's Facilities and Lease Administration teams. Drive process improvement and innovation to scale the lease process.
Oversee the monthly inventory accounting process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. Lead quarterly meetings with sites to discuss routine changes in account balances, unique or material transactions, LCNRV and warranty analyses, and other topics as needed to confirm that inventory balances are reasonably stated.
Perform the accounting and reporting for internally developed software projects (both internal-use and external-use), including reviews of project submissions for appropriate capitalization treatment, as well as ongoing assessments of net realizable value.
Establish and maintain the Company's accounting policies, ensuring continued relevance as the accounting guidance and the business evolve.
Ensure that appropriate and adequate internal controls are in place in accordance GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
Assist with management projects and internal and external audits.
Review user security tickets and quarterly reports for various accounting systems (Blackline, CoStar, Costpoint, and Infor).
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or related field
5+ years of experience in accounting (preferably with lease accounting and inventory accounting experience)
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
Demonstrated ability and motivation to work independently with minimal oversight
Proven analytical, critical thinking, and project management skills
Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment
Solid attention to detail and ability to develop technical accounting skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment
U.S. Citizenship Required
Desired:
Deltek product suite experience
Knowledge of MRP/PLM systems
Public accounting and Government Contracting industry experience
CPA certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$84,900 - $178,400
