Accounting Clerk (AP/AR/Billing)

Location: Bristol, CT

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours

Position Overview:

A well-established manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerkto support its finance department. This role will focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to grow within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments

Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Generate and distribute customer invoices

Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables

Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding billing and payments

Support audits and assist with documentation requests

Perform general administrative and accounting support tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

1-2 years of experience in AP/AR or billing preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, or similar)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
