The Lead Release Train Engineer (RTE) has Comprehensive, end-to-end responsibility as facilitator and coach of a complex Agile Release Train (ART) and acts as Hub and Expert for all ART scrum teams. Ensures all events are aligned with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methods in a way that adds both speed and value to product delivery. The Lead Release Train Engineer performs complex work necessitating the ability to solve problems and issues of diverse scope by drawing from extensive prior experiences and knowledge of best practices.
The Lead Release Train Engineer work includes serving as the overall facilitator and coach of a complex Agile Release Train (ART). This includes leveraging various Agile methodologies and Program Maturity, Assessments, Metrics, Dashboards to both coach and demonstrate to the teams how they best align around value delivery with the spirit of continuous improvement. Leverages feedback loops and ceremonies designed to identify and navigate the various challenges that are impeding the flow of work. Overall, the Lead Release Train Engineer promotes a culture of innovation by implementing SAFe Agile processes and principles, which include techniques to increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and velocity.
-Serves as the ART conductor and Coach, leading the appropriate use of SAFe principles, facilitate ceremonies (such as PI Planning and System Demos) and leveraging tools (such as Program Kanban) to optimize the flow of value for a large, complex program
-Facilitates PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process that drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events
-Actively coaches, mentors and influences technical teams, scrum masters, business partners, and all levels of leadership including --Executives in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
-Helps teams identify and encourages them to refine value streams
-Coaches the teams to identify and remediate related dependencies/barriers including taking ownership of improvement items that come from the Inspect & Adapt and Problem-Solving Workshop events
-Coaches leadership and encourages collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects and Engineering
-Orchestrates synchronized program level processes and executes across multiple, complex scrum and product teams
-Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
-Work with the Agility Enablement Hub on the overall program execution and operational excellence
-Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and help them improve Foster -Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
-Holds teams accountable to maintaining focus on quality and continuous delivery of business value while generating artifacts necessary to maintain cadence and synchronization on the train with an Enterprise view
-Exercises considerable independent judgement and decision making on complex issues. Establishes priorities and timelines for own work and provides direction regarding priories for a work group

Required Qualifications:
5+ years related experience including 5+ years as a Scrum Master/RTE and/or Agile Coach on large scale, technically complex projects
Mastery of the SAFe Framework as a Release Train Engineeror any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification(s): RTE and/or Safe Program Consultant (SPC0
Advanced knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban development methodology
Demonstrate execution through large and extremely complex value streams
Success in working across multiple teams of stakeholders including all levels of leadership, IT Teams, Business Teams, Product Managers, Product Owners and Portfolio Managers
Excellent communication skills, leadership/mentoring competencies, expertise in operating through influence, and high level of emotional intelligence
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field
Mastery of one or more Agile Lifecycle Management Tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA Align
Advanced Scrum Master certification like CSP-SM, A-CSM, or PSM III
Agile Coaching certification like CTC, ICP-ATF
Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Prior experience in the health solutions industrY
Mastery of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$129,300 - $177,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
