Summary The position is located at the Cheyenne VA Health Care System. The primary duty and responsibility of the Fleet Program Assistant is to coordinate the data submitted by various Services within the three divisions for fleet services. These fleet vehicles are VA purchased, leased and donated vehicles for use by all services and their employees, VISN employees, DAV, Out Patient Clinics and Vet Centers. Responsibilities Major duties include but not limited to: Coordinating, planning, budgeting, and maintaining consistency in fleet service. Tracking all vehicle histories from time of purchase/donation to six (6) years past the turn-in or salvage/auction of each vehicle or piece of equipment (per credit card regulations). Attending monthly fleet meetings and identifies trends, issues or concerns for resolution. Orders/cancels credit cards, reviews statements checking for fraud or misuse. Reviews the budget on a regular basis notifying the Chief of Facility Management Service whenever there is a change in spending such as multiple large repairs or body work. Establishes protocols for incoming data, organizes computerized data sets, and retrieves computerized data. Maintains automated system of program-specific data to track suspense on items such as project milestones, progress reports, funding accomplishments, and compliance strategies. Physical Requirements: Most of the incumbent's duties are sedentary in nature with occasional walking, climbing, stooping, bending and reaching as required.
