Description We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing and managing costs to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in cost accounting within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed cost analysis to support accurate pricing and financial decision-making.

Oversee inventory management processes, including cycle counting and reconciliation.

Prepare and post journal entries during month-end close, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Reconcile accounts to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Apply cost accounting principles to analyze actual costs and improve financial forecasting.

Utilize advanced Excel skills to create and manage financial models and reports.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights on cost-saving opportunities.

Support the financial planning process by providing detailed cost analysis and projections. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the aerospace industry.

Familiarity with Hyperion software is preferred.

Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and cycle counting processes.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Experience with month-end close procedures, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.

Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and actual cost analysis.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
