Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Queens Village, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments. Responsibilities:
Review, verify, and accurately process incoming invoices for payment.
Ensure proper coding of invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Conduct regular check runs to facilitate timely payments to vendors.
Maintain detailed and organized records of accounts payable transactions.
Resolve discrepancies by communicating with vendors and internal departments.
Assist with the integration and use of NetSuite for accounting tasks.
Prepare financial reports related to accounts payable activities.
Monitor deadlines for invoice submissions and payment schedules.
Support the team in improving efficiency within the accounts payable process. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
Proficiency in coding invoices and managing check runs.
Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing.
Excellent communication skills for resolving invoice discrepancies.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
