Sr. Project Manager- Global Markets Operations

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr. Project Manager with our Global Banking client in their Jersey City, NJ location. This position requires 3 days onsite, one day being Monday or Friday. This is a 1 year consulting engagement (may have the opportunity to extend another 12 months) for a Global Bank supporting the group responsible for enterprise projects driving programs that span across business (front to back office), operations, legal and compliance. W2 pay $800-900/day. Summary: This team is responsible for managing transformations on behalf of Global Markets and Asset/Liability Management & Treasury (ALMT), playing a critical role in enabling new business and projects across Global Markets / ALMT, contributing to alignment between Front Office and Functions, as well as being the architects (end-to-end) of the Global Markets / ALMT Value Chain. Responsibilities:- The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for 1 or 2 projects concurrently depending on scope.- Projects may consist of: - Vertical (front-office to accounting) or transversal (across several business lines or user groups or locations/entities) projects during all its life cycle (from design to completion). - The projects initiated from the North Americas region or the North Americas regional stream of Global project. - Assist the business in the design and review of their new business initiatives to represent IT, Operations and in some cases Finance, at new business approval committees. - The key interactions are with the project sponsors, Front-office and all the functions (Operations, IT, Finance, as well as Compliance, Legal and Tax) mainly within GM or ALMT business lines. - Work with project stakeholders to define requirements, design the solution incorporating operational and or IT contributions and manage the project through completion. - Run a governance with front to end stakeholders to ensure adequate decision-making on projects prioritization, progress and sustainability. - Manage the capacity of the team to ensure timely execution of the book of work. - Present Project Plans and Status Updates to Steering Committees. - Manage project riskRequirements:- Global Markets : Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives - at least one of the 3- Experience managing end to end projects that incorporate operational changes- Experience managing project risk and mitigation- Experience in change management, projects that encompass technology, operations and or legal and compliance elements.- Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
