DIRECTOR OF GROUP SOURCING/DIRECTOR OF PROCUREMENTMadawaska, ME Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to lead and manage the strategic sourcing of $450M+ in MRO products and services, capital, and raw materials across a multi-site manufacturing enterprise. This leadership role is critical in ensuring operational excellence by maintaining robust supplier relationships, understanding key market dynamics, and driving supply chain strategies that directly impact the company's bottom line. This is a cross-functional position that works closely with Operations and Finance to align procurement with broader business goals. Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure continuous supply of critical goods/services aligned with operational goals.Develop and execute procurement strategies across all commodities and services.Manage, evaluate, and enhance supplier performance and relationships.Lead major contract negotiations and purchasing agreements.Coach and mentor the procurement team on best sourcing practices.Analyze markets to anticipate changes and mitigate inflationary impacts.Collaborate with Finance to shape budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.Actively participate in key business and operations meetings. What We're Looking ForRequired:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.5+ years of experience managing a similar portfolio in a multi-site manufacturing environment.Preferred:Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or Engineering.Industry experience in pulp and paper.Proven success in contract negotiations and strategic sourcing.Competencies:Strong decision-making and analytical skills.Excellent verbal and written communication.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Strategic thinking with a strong understanding of financial impacts. Work Environment & TravelPrimary work location is an office environment.Travel to company sites as required.
