Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of electrical and control systems for multiple facilities. This position will also include oversight of the Plant's power distribution systems including but not limited to: transformers, switchgear, capacitor banks, distribution panels, and power panels.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement electrical control and distribution system projects independently and with other engineering staff.
Design and implement hardware and software installation for network and data projects.
Collaborate with Engineering staff for equipment modification/installation and start-up.
Assist with updating electrical distribution and control system schematics for improved safety and troubleshooting.
Collaborates with electrical engineering technicians on monitoring, troubleshooting, and corrective actions required for plant systems.
Coordinate with maintenance department on electrical preventative maintenance.
Perform other tasks or duties as required or needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
Minimum 10 years' experience in food processing, manufacturing, or similar environments.
Strong understanding of control system design within understanding of NEC, OSHA, and similar regulations.
Understanding of low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems.
Proficient with PLC programming, either Siemens or Allen Bradley, and associated HMI systems.
Excellent troubleshooting skills on electrical systems.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with people at all levels.
Flexibility to work on a variety of shifts, and overtime, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, wet, humid, and odorous environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Autodesk software.
Ability to travel to other locations as needed.
