Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos , is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Technician to join its Maintenance Engineering group.

What is the job about?
The Senior Manufacturing Technician role will repair, adjust, and maintain all @types of machinery and mechanical equipment, including delicate mechanical instruments.
Make sophisticated OEM level repairs to machine tools and related systems.
This position reports directly to the Maintenance and Facilities Manage r and will operate daily out of the Indianapolis, IN facility (primarily Mon-Fri).
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.
Your main responsibilities:
Diagnose problems, dismantle, inspect, clean, lubricate, repair, replace worn or damaged parts, reassemble and adjust all @types of machine tools, miscellaneous machinery, mechanical equipment, etc.
Diagnose and repair CNC control/ servo drive, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues quickly and accurately.
Thorough knowledge of PLC and CNC controls and ladder logic.
Develop, build, fabricate, fit or alter parts and rebuild a variety of special machines, machine attachments, fixtures, miscellaneous machinery, mechanical equipment, etc.
Key Success Factors:
Production order on-time performance and both internal and external customer support are key to achieving company goals. Problem solving skills and interpersonal skills are a must to succeed in this role.
Posting, Reporting, and Work Relations:
This role will be working under Maintenance Manager and APU Manager. Will also provide support to Maintenance Team, Production Supervisors.
Your background
We imagine that you have:
High School Diploma, GED/HSE/HiSET or equivalent *required
Additional Technical training *much preferred.
5 years experience maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools *much preferred
Veterans with MOS experience maintaining and repairing sophisticated or precision mechanical systems are strongly encouraged to apply. *much preferred
Competencies:
Must have a thorough knowledge of machine construction, functions and methods of repair and adjustment.
Diagnose and repair CNC control/ servo drive, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues quickly and accurately.
Thorough knowledge of PLC and CNC controls and ladder logic.
Experience maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools and manual machining equipment.
Electrical installation and repair up to 480v
Cranes, hoists, material handling equipment,
Computer (MS Windows, SAP, Excel)
Manual, power driven, and pneumatic hand tools, and machine tools.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and apply mathematics to work from engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Ability to operate precision instruments, manual machining equipment and lifting equipment
Mathematics skills including proficiency subtracting, multiplying and dividing for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally in the English language to understand and use written or verbal control and work instructions,
Ability to analyze and problem solve to resolve various technical and interpersonal issues with collaboration, respect and professionalism.
This position requires the incumbent to stand for extended periods of time, frequently grasp tools, bend, stoop, twist, crouch, lift/push/pull, reach, stand, and walk when performing duties.
Specific vision abilities include close, distance and peripheral vision.
Able to work in a non-climate controlled factory or field environment.
Demonstrated strong work ethic (including good attendance), strong organizational skills and strong communication skills (written and oral).
