What's a typical day as a Senior Accountant? You'll be:
Responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including monthly close activities, recording journal entries and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and with intercompany partners.
A key contributor in the continued movement towards the harmonization of internal reporting processes.
Prepares work in the following areas: Journal entries, such as accrued liabilities, transfer price adjustments, standard cost revaluation, and intercompany accruals
Balance sheet account reconciliations Balance sheet account roll forwards, including variance analysis and explanations Intercompany reconciliation, elimination, and reporting.
Document intercompany loans and ensure intercompany profit is properly eliminated.
Research and resolve disputes and ensure intercompany balances are reconciled.
Handle multiple entities, accounts and currency postings
Develop strong relationships with operators and Key Stakeholders
Prepare and present variance commentary of the monthly actuals review Support internal and external SOX 404 audit requests and compliance requirements Monthly distribution intercompany reports to key members
Produce ad-hoc analysis, evaluating transactions from branches and entities
Support departmental, functional and corporate initiatives Assist with the application of GAAP to new transactions
Establish rapport and build cooperative, respectful working relationships with relevant internal and external parties
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Bachelor s degree in accounting
Advanced MS Excel / MS Office Preferred: CPA, MBA and/or public accounting experience
Preferred: Experience with HFM/PeopleSoft/SAP
Preferred: 3+ years of experience with similar responsibilities in a 500M+ business Competencies Creative problem solver Excellent verbal and writing skills
Process mindset with focus on continuous improvement
Knowledge of internal controls and segregation of duties
Performs well under pressure e.g. changing priorities and tight deadlines
Demonstrates high level of maturity, self-motivation and team-orientation
