This position is in the Design Section of the Department of Transportation and Development District 04, serves as an Administrative Assistant 5, and reports directly to Engineer 8 Assistant District Administrator of Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications
Four years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Requires specialized knowledge and use of computers, software, and office equipment; must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Participates in DOTD training programs, continuing education, and conferences as needed to perform job duties effectively.
Manages administrative tasks including distributing mail, typing correspondence, transcribing dictation, and maintaining records in Content Manager.
Serves as liaison for the Assistant District Administrator of Engineering, screening calls/visitors, handling administrative requests, and coordinating communication with internal and external contacts.
Coordinates meetings, schedules, travel, payroll, and office records; may assist with special duties or emergency/disaster support as needed.
