Job Title: EHS Technician

Job Description

As an EHS Technician, you will provide expert guidance, training, and operational support across all levels and departments. You will ensure compliance with site, corporate, and regulatory EHS requirements and lead and support EHS improvement projects, risk assessments, audits, and inspections. Additionally, you will assist in incident investigations and root cause analyses, develop corrective actions, and prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with site, corporate, and regulatory EHS requirements.

Lead and support EHS improvement projects, risk assessments, audits, and inspections.

Assist in incident investigations and root cause analyses; develop corrective actions.

Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Maintain permit recordkeeping, reporting requirements, and compliance tracking.

Monitor workplace exposure hazards and recommend appropriate controls.

Participate in process hazard analyses, design reviews, and change control processes.

Manage programs related to air emissions, waste, water, and refrigerant management.

Facilitate and participate in site committees (e.g., safety, sustainability, emergency response).

Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance site operations and EHS performance.

Essential Skills

Compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.

Risk assessment capabilities.

Science-related degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Safety specialty.

Environmental Health Safety plans expertise.

Knowledge of HSE and safety procedures.

Safety certification in hazardous waste and chemical safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to identify hazards and recommend improvements.

Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, environmental, health & safety, or related field.

0-7 years of experience.

Strong technical knowledge in environmental and worker health & safety practices.

Ability to analyze complex EHS issues and work collaboratively to resolve them.

Professional certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred or ability to obtain.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite in a manufacturing setting with a Monday-Friday schedule. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $37.00/hr.
