Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for sales and team development? We are seeking an exceptional District Sales Manager to join our team and drive success across our sales territories. In this role, you will manage a team of 5-8 sales representatives and floating merchandisers, overseeing 150-300 accounts that generate $15-$30 million in revenue. You will be responsible for the training, development, and performance assessment of your team, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets and represent our brands effectively in retail accounts.
As a District Sales Manager, you will supervise your team directly, providing guidance and support on customer orders and ensuring timely resolution of issues. You will lead weekly sales meetings to review performance, set goals, and develop strategies to achieve case and revenue objectives. Your role will involve presenting monthly programs, managing incentive programs, and ensuring proper execution of the distributor suggested pricing plan.
Your ability to build strong customer relationships and manage key accounts will be crucial. You will conduct customer calls, monitor sales performance, and onboard new sales representatives, covering territories as needed. You will also be responsible for approving signage, displays, and merchandising in your district, as well as establishing account programs and identifying management candidates.

What You Will Need:
High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of professional sales experience to include at least one year of Gallo wholesaler or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor experience that includes a holiday season reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of professional sales experience with a Gallo wholesaler or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor that includes a holiday season reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
21 years of age or older.
Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
Required to lift or move 45 - 57 pound cases of product.
Required to work weekends for special functions/events when needed.
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
What Will Set You Apart:
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of wine sales experience to include at least one year of affiliated distributor experience that includes a holiday season; OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of retail and on-premise district manager experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Knowledgeable in Gallo sales/merchandising standards, policies, and selling skills.
Demonstrated Leadership aptitude and skill.
Completion of Fine Wine Training I certification
CSS and/or CSW certifications
Good communication skills; sticks to point.
Good problem-solving skills.
Good time management skills.
Good organization skills.
Demonstrated teamwork experience.
Compensation:
Hiring Salary Range Posted: $86,900.00 - $130,300.00.
Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
