Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a respected industrial supplier in Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of accounting operations in a fast-paced, small-office setting. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial accuracy and efficiency of a well-established business within the energy sector.

Responsibilities:

Manage the complete accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Conduct weekly check runs, wire transfers, and reconcile bank accounts.

Perform month-end and year-end financial close activities with precision.

Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain an updated chart of accounts.

Prepare detailed internal financial statements and reports for company leadership.

Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

Organize and maintain both digital and physical accounting records.

Provide administrative support, including managing insurance documentation and tracking inventory.

Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial best practices. Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping or senior-level accounting roles.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Familiarity with month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a small team environment.

Prior experience in distribution, industrial supply, or energy-related industries is preferred.

Self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
