Read more at www.dsv.com Location: USA - Dupont Little Hocking Service, Little Hocking Division:Solutions Job Posting Title: General Manager - 98022 Time Type: Full Time General Manager SUMMARY The General Manager of operations is a highly visible leadership role. This individual is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operation, compliance, and financial results for a designated operation. The General Manager ("GM") will serve as a primary customer interface for all leadership decisions regarding proposal approval and contract negotiations. This role is the Champion of overseeing local continuous improvement activities, LEAN practices, supply chain analysis, six sigma initiatives, and ISO activities. He/she will also ensure that the operation adheres to the overall corporate mission, vision, and core values while consistently meeting client and company expectations. Essential Roles and Responsibilities Overall /Operations, Quality, Costs, Labor Management, Budgeting, Production and Scheduling Manage Production Manager, Quality Manager, Safety Manager and Purchasing Manager with dotted line reports from HR Generalist, ATO and Trainer. Manage to ensure the site meets the dashboard goals on a monthly basis. Customer Service Acts as site level champion of client relationship management Implements and monitors KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for assigned operation Coordinate and lead business reviews with appropriate client and company representatives for each reporting operation Safety Responsible for the overall safety and security of assigned operations and staff Maintain positive IFR statistics and other safety metrics for assigned operation Actively support and oversee site safety programs and committees for the operation Work in conjunction with company and client safety resources to ensure best practices are in place, maintained, and updated as needed to meet compliance standards with OSHA, DOT, or any other relevant regulatory agency or organization Requires the daily presence on the floor Requires interaction with both DSV and DuPont safety Requires management of all incidents including near misses. Requires attendance at all Safety pauses Environmental Manage EPA sampling Experience with discharge requirements a plus Must be able to troubleshoot any exceedances Production Manage the production schedule and forecast Manage Uptime (OEE)
