As an integral member of the North Ameri c an Field Appli c ations Engineering (AE) Team, you will work dire c tly with industry leading semi c ondu c tor and system c ompanies to deploy C aden c e's market leading Xcelium and Verisium verification product families. In this c ustomer fa c ing role you will lead and manage an Appli c ation Engineering Team to help with the pre and post-sales pro c ess and will work with the a c c ount team to c ome up with innovative solutions to address our c ustomers most c hallenging problems. Key responsibilities in this position are to:
Lead and Manage a team of Appli c ation Engineers and be responsible for also leading c ustomer relationships .
Establish te c hni c al c redibility and rapport with the c ustomer and be c ome the go-to expert for all of their te c hni c al inquiries and support. Assign roles and responsibilities within the team .
Provide in-depth te c hni c al assistan c e in c ollaboration with R&D to help support simulation and verification flows to se c ure design wins
C hampion the c ustomer needs and work with R&D and marketing to develop c ompetitive and c reative te c hni c al solutions.
Understand the c ompetitive lands c ape and c ontinuously work on differentiating C aden c e's solutions.
Write te c hni c al produ c t literature su c h as appli c ation notes and te c hni c al arti c les.
Review new produ c t proposals and devi c e spe c ifi c ations
The major fo c us of this role will be on Xcelium simulation tool family and Verisium AI/ML tool family and will require strong skills in the following areas:
Minimum:
BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
15+ years experience with SystemVerilog, VHDL, Verilog
Verification skills such as UVM testbench architecture, development and debug
Strong RTL and Testbench debug skills
Experience in writing scripts (Perl, Python or Tcl)
Strong software, HDL design and verification skills
Ability to quickly analyze verification environments and design complexity
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong teamwork skills
Self motivated
Ability to interact effectively with both external customers and R&D teams
Preferred:
Experience with C/C++/SystemC
Experience in deploying VIP in testbenches
Knowledge of protocols like JTAG, UART, PCIe, AMBA, DDR
Knowledge of design fundamentals such as architecture, micro-architecture, HDLs and Synthesis and timing
Digital design experience
