As the State Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for administering state program activities related to system functions for the Nutrition Program Services Division and customers. Duties will include:

Submit timely and accurate documentation and reports

Advise sponsors about reporting and procedural requirements

Determine compliance with administrative and reporting provisions of the federal Child Nutrition Programs

Distribute reports and information for program analysis

Provide support for processes required by the Child Nutrition Programs administered out of the division

This position is eligible for telework to applicants who reside in Minnesota or a bordering state. Employees living within50miles of the office location listed above will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month.

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of paraprofessional, clerical or technical experience in a related field

A bachelor's degree and one (1) year of paraprofessional, clerical or technical experience in a related field

Experience must include the following demonstrated skills and abilities:

Attention to detail to ensure data is entered and processed accurately and within prescribed deadlines.

The ability to communicate effectively to obtain and provide clear, accurate and thorough information on a timely basis to internal staff and external customers.

The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and external customers.

Ability to adapt to organizational and program changes sufficient to work constructively under pressure and cope with ambiguity.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to navigate in web applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with USDA Child Nutrition Programs and the state and federal laws and regulations governing them.

Experience working with or for an entity that operates a child nutrition program, such as a non-profit organization, school or child care center.

Experience working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
