Cimarron is seeking Electrical Engineers to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the US Air Force's Sentinel program (GBSD) in Ogden, UT. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design, construction, and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at locations to include Vandenberg AFB, CA, F.E. Warren AFB, WY, Malmstrom AFB, MT, and Minot AFB, ND. Sentinel is a vital nuclear modernization program that will recapitalize the nation's aging ground based leg of the nuclear triad -- the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This is an onsite position that offers a 9X80 work schedule (i.e., every other Friday off), paid overtime, and a great work/life balance. For candidates not local to the Ogden area, a relocation allowance can be provided.

Key Duties:
Design electrical systems supporting the USAF Sentinel program, including power systems and infrastructure.
Develop design drawings such as wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules.
Interpret and apply applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements to electrical design documents.
Perform system analyses, including load flow and short circuit analysis, using ETAP.
Prepare design and equipment specifications using SpecsIntact and United Facilities Guide Specifications.
Collaborate with electrical engineers, other disciplines, and Northrop Grumman in a team environment.
Use SETROUTE for cable routing and cable management.
Maintain a high standard of quality and meet scheduled deadlines.
Mentor junior engineers.
Lead preparation of procurement documentation, including written scopes of work for suppliers.
Evaluate supplier proposals and integrate vendor-provided technical data into engineering designs.
Conduct underground cable thermal de-rating analysis using ETAP.
Perform lighting design calculations using AGI 32 software.
Size and specify a wide range of electrical equipment, including UPS systems and surge protective devices.
Develop CSI MasterFormat-based specifications for electrical components and systems.
Coordinate electrical system requirements and verifications directly with systems engineering and the end client.

Proficiency with AutoCAD and ETAP.
Strong knowledge of NFPA 70, ANSI/IEEE, NEMA, and other electrical codes and standards.
Understanding of electrical systems, schematics, layouts, and equipment specifications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with office automation tools.
Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Proficiency in developing detailed electrical design packages beyond basic drawings (e.g., cable block diagrams, grounding, lightning protection).
Strong understanding of complex equipment sizing methods for transformers, batteries, and UPS systems.
Familiarity with preparing comprehensive engineering procurement documentation and performing proposal evaluations.
Ability to interpret and integrate vendor submittals into engineering deliverables.
Experience with power systems modeling across multiple analysis @types including relay coordination and Arc Flash.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
Active Secret Clearance.
Experience using SETROUTE for cable management.
Familiarity with SpecsIntact and the government Unified Facilities Guide Specifications.
Previous experience supporting DOD or USAF projects.
Exposure to Bechtel engineering practices and standards.
Experience designing cathodic protection systems for government or industrial facilities.
Working knowledge of the Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG) and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC).
Intermediate or advanced experience with CSI MasterFormat standards for construction specifications.
Familiarity with other disciplines (Mechanical, Process) engineering drawings and calculations as they relate to electrical system integration.
Prior experience on projects governed by ISO-9000 quality assurance protocols.
Experience with SmartPlant 3D in an electrical engineering @context (not just design/drafting).
Registered Professional Engineer in the U.S. (Electrical Engineering).
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
