Lead Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Accountant to join our team in Delray Beach, Florida. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial oversight, manage accounts receivable for income-producing properties, and provide leadership within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, budgeting, and financial processes, as well as the ability to supervise and guide team members effectively.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage accounts receivable for income-generating properties, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

Develop and monitor budgets, providing insights and forecasts to support financial planning.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets to maintain accurate financial records.

Handle wire transfers and ensure all payment processes are executed efficiently.

Collaborate with banks and financial institutions to address inquiries and manage financial activities.

Supervise and support accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Provide leadership in financial planning and analysis to align with company objectives.

Assist in preparing financial reports and presenting key insights to stakeholders.

Support the acquisition, rezoning, and resale of land by managing related financial tasks. Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial oversight and reconciliation.

Must have a Degree in Accounting only- no other concentrations would be considered

Proven expertise in account reconciliation, including bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets.

Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Experience managing wire transfers and payment systems.

Ability to supervise and mentor team members, promoting a positive work culture.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks or ERP, and advanced Excel skills.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and external partners effectively.
