Ideastream Public Media, a Cleveland-based media organization and home to Ohio's largest NPR, PBS and classical radio stations, serving 22 counties in Northeast Ohio with its trusted, in-depth, high-quality local news and information service seeks a motivated and experienced Director of Marketing and Communications to lead our marketing and communications strategy and execution. As part of our senior leadership team, the Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans that ensure that audience cultivation events meet our strategic objectives while also strengthening our brand awareness, drive engagement, and increase the visibility of Ideastream in the community. In this role, you will oversee the implementation of marketing plans, engagement events, digital marketing, paid and owned media campaigns, and media relations. You will also participate in the development of branding initiatives and strategies to increase brand awareness, audience reach, and positioning across multiple platforms. This position oversees the work of three full-time staff members.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and seven to ten years of experience in digital or content marketing including social media, though an equivalent of experience in related fields and education will be considered. A proven ability to develop, manage, and track marketing campaigns, manage vendor relationships, and demonstrated knowledge of the customer journey theory is required. The salary range for this position is $92,000---$99,000 and is commensurate with experience.
