As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol in Potomac, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts and more .
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a dynamic hotel and resort location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to guests and staff. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond to various situations as they arise, and use technology such as computers or tablets to document your activities. This position is a driving post, so you will also be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle as needed. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the hotel and resort environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence throughout the location.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
Collaborate with hotel and resort staff to address guest concerns and support a welcoming environment.
Assist with access control procedures and verify credentials as required by site-specific policies.

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is preferred and may be required for driving positions in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, this is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
