Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily activities of our healthcare providers by ensuring a smooth and efficient patient care experience. You will be responsible for vital sign documentation, patient preparation, and assisting physicians with procedures, among other essential tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform vital sign documentation and prepare patients and rooms for exams and procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for both patients and staff.

Assist physicians by documenting medical history and case notes, and relay instructions to patients or authorized persons.

Collect patient data in person and by phone, documenting patient concerns and care provided in the electronic medical record.

Accurately document medical information in patient records and track test results for physician or nurse practitioner review.

Communicate test results to patients when appropriate and facilitate patient care activities, including scheduling tests and reinforcing patient education.

Perform triage as directed by the physician or nurse practitioner, maintain inventory of supplies, and proficiently use electronic health records for documentation and communication.

Essential Skills

1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Proficiency in using electronic health records and basic computer skills.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Certification in Medical Assisting or related field.

Experience in phlebotomy and patient care.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Work Environment

This position is located in a busy urgent care setting, handling 50-100 patients a day. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to work until 6 PM if needed. This role offers opportunities for growth and overtime within different specialties.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
