Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Chesterfield, Missouri, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the accuracy and proper coding of vendor invoices while maintaining high productivity standards in a fast-paced environment. This is an onsite position ideal for professionals with a solid background in accounts payable and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Review and validate large volumes of vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.

Identify and resolve discrepancies, including pricing errors, missing information, or incorrect charges.

Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to address invoice-related concerns efficiently.

Ensure all invoices are accurately coded and entered into the accounting system.

Maintain adherence to accounting standards and organizational policies during invoice processing.

Achieve daily productivity and accuracy targets while meeting strict deadlines.

Provide support with auditing tasks related to accounts payable processes.

Track outstanding invoices and ensure timely resolution of any issues.

Assist in improving invoice review procedures to enhance overall efficiency. Requirements - Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and invoice lifecycles.

Proven experience handling high volumes of invoice reviews or processing.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.

Effective communication and problem-solving skills for working with vendors and internal teams.

Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms.

Ability to meet daily volume expectations in a fast-paced work environment.

Availability to work onsite during standard business hours.

Solid organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
