About the Position:

A successful, hands-on team leader with a strong track record in waste and cost troubleshooting across manufacturing plants. Demonstrated expertise in leading the implementation of technology transfers and new product launches to plants, ensuring smooth, trouble-free integration. This role provides critical support to North American facilities by collaborating with plant QTECH engineers and corporate teams, including Tire Technology, Engineering Applications, and Purchasing. Serving as a key technical resource, the position bridges technology systems, computer systems, and quality systems with manufacturing processes and products, with the ability to work independently and effectively.

Job Duties:

Implement products, processes, methods that meet internal and external customer requirements.

Support evaluation of products, processes, methods and obtain results.

Contribute to manufacture of quality products and processes.

Communicate and solve problems by interpreting and analyzing data.

Translate product needs to experimental data or design parameters.

Work with teams and product groups to bring technology to market

Obtain required training and skill development for position specific skills and personal development.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or in lieu of degree 11 + years of equivalent technical experience

Experience:

Experience working with Siemens and Allen Bradley desired

Work experience in more than one plant preferred.

Work experience in corporate function preferred.

Work experience in multiple functions at the plant.

Performed technical work in plant recently (within 10 years).

6 + years Goodyear or relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities:

Detailed knowledge of how work is accomplished in a plant.

Good interpersonal skills.

Understanding of products & processes.

Knowledge of corporate functional relationships.

Ability to organize, coordinate & communicate information in area of expertise.
