Job Description

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Provides functional technical expertise to the development and integration of various capabilities into Mission Partner environments. Efforts include applying electrical engineering expertise to requirements definition, design, development, integration, prototyping, testing, and production support. Works with electronic components throughout the design, development, and testing phases. Knowledgeable in electrical systems and components to create efficient and functional diagrams that meet specific design requirements. Provides electrical engineering support to the development of technical solutions and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.- Must possess an active Secret clearance.

Ability to analyze system requirements and develop engineering specifications

Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering lifecycle phases

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical documentation

Preferred Requirements

Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like MagicDraw or Cameo

Prior experience working with military or aerospace platforms

Master's degree in a technical discipline is a plus

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
