Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Pompano Beach, Florida. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, expertise in QuickBooks Online, and a strong background in processing invoices and managing accounts payable tasks. Candidates with experience in the construction industry are encouraged to apply, though it is not a strict requirement.

Responsibilities:

Review and analyze account statements to identify missing invoices.

Accurately enter invoices into QuickBooks Online for proper record-keeping.

Perform coding and processing of invoices with precision and efficiency.

Conduct check runs and ensure timely payments to vendors.

Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records.

Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

Monitor accounts payable workflow to meet deadlines and maintain compliance.

Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and clarify payment details.

Prepare regular reports on accounts payable activities and status.

Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling financial data. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably with QuickBooks Online.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.

Proficiency in invoice coding and processing.

Fast and efficient typing skills to handle large volumes of data.

Ability to review financial statements and identify discrepancies.

Effective communication skills for vendor and team collaboration.

Familiarity with construction industry practices is a plus.

Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
