Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join our finance team within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This mid-level role is perfect for someone who excels during month-end close, enjoys balancing accounts, and is comfortable working extended hours during critical periods. The ideal candidate will have experience with Oracle ERP and a strong foundation in general accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post monthly journal entries in Oracle ERP.

Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger balances.

Manage month-end close activities, including pulling and analyzing financial reports, performing balance sheet reconciliations, cleaning up and maintaining capital asset records, and conducting balance sheet analysis and variance explanations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and integrate functions with Regal or other systems.

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Continuously improve accounting processes and assist in automation or system enhancements.

Essential Skills

1+ years of accounting experience.

2+ years of experience using ERP software such as Oracle, SAP, JDE, etc.

2+ years of experience performing advanced functions in MS Excel, including pivot tables and V lookups.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Manufacturing industry experience.

College education.

Oracle ERP experience.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Deadline-driven and not easily rattled by strict deadlines or SLAs.

Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities, processes, and direction.

Comfortable with fast-paced environments and able to pivot quickly.

Work Environment

The work schedule requires extended hours (up to 12-hour days) during the first 2-3 days of the month-end close cycle, with standard 8-hour workdays for the remainder of the month. The position offers a hybrid work environment during training, with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, transitioning to 3 days onsite and 2 days remote after training. Onsite attendance is required during month-end days. The role is set in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, where candidates should be comfortable with walks of the production floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $39.00/hr.
