Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards. The position offers an opportunity to work on complex accounting processes, including general ledger management, month-end closings, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly documented and accounted for.

Prepare and post journal entries for various transactions, including accruals and adjustments.

Conduct detailed account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between internal records and bank statements.

Collaborate with other departments to gather and validate financial data for reporting purposes.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related reports.

Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on month-end close, general ledger, and reconciliations.

Proficiency in accounting software, with experience using Oracle preferred.

Strong understanding of US GAAP and its application in financial reporting.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting standards is a plus.
