Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an opportunity to lead financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support critical audit activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and experience working with various financial systems.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Manage the month-end close process, including reconciliations and journal entries.

Supervise operational accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.

Provide comprehensive support during internal and external audits to ensure smooth processes.

Utilize ERP systems and other financial tools to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.

Review and approve transactions in systems like BlackLine, Concur, and ADP.

Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial reporting needs and resolve discrepancies.

Monitor cash flow and ensure proper financial planning and management.

Train and mentor accounting staff to maintain high performance and compliance standards.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounting roles, including financial statement preparation and operational oversight.

Familiarity with accounting software systems such as BlackLine, Concur, and ADP.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes.

Expertise in using ERP systems to support financial management and reporting.

Ability to manage audit processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a team and collaborate across departments.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
