The Global Security Operations Manager, serves as a second-level leader responsible for the administrative and operational oversight of Apple's global security operations function. This role ensures the effective delivery of critical security services across the enterprise, with key accountability for programs supporting the Global and Regional Security Operations Centers (GSOC/RSOC), field service requests, and security officer program integration with the Places organization for global initiatives.
In addition to foundational oversight responsibilities, the position plays a critical role in security incident management, internal investigations, executive protection coordination, and compliance with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regulations for government-facing operations.
The role demands a collaborative, proactive leader who can manage people, processes, and partnerships at scale to maintain Apple's safety, security, and compliance standards globally.
Description
Lead and supervise administrative and operational activities of the Global Security Operations function.
Oversee day-to-day support for GSOC and RSOC programs, ensuring responsive and coordinated service delivery.
Manage field service and security officer requests, partnering closely with the Places team on global construction, renovation, and service projects.
Direct the development, implementation, and maintenance of security standard operating procedures (SOPs), training manuals, and awareness initiatives.
Conduct and oversee incident reviews, accident analyses, and internal investigations as needed.
Support corporate crisis management and executive protection standards in coordination with specialized teams.
Select, develop, and evaluate staff performance; foster team growth, engagement, and succession readiness.
Partner cross-functionally across Places, Legal, Crisis Management, Investigations, and other teams to deliver secure and seamless business continuity operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, or military leadership roles.
Demonstrated experience managing operational security functions at scale, including emergency response, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership and personnel management experience with demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams.
Knowledge of GSOC/RSOC functions and technology-driven security platforms.
Familiarity with DHS and federal security clearance regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with or managing cross-functional teams (e.g., Facilities, Crisis Management, Legal).
Background in executive protection operations or coordination.
Project management experience supporting global construction or security integration efforts.
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
Certifications such as CPP, PSP, or PMP.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $182,500 and $274,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
