Summary These positions will support the Office of Integrated Veteran Care (IVC). Incumbent serves as a Contact Representative under the Customer Service Directorate. Responsibilities The primary function of the Contact Representative position is advising, counseling, reviewing applications and claims and/or responding to requests regarding business process for all associated health benefit programs which are administrated by the Office of integrated Veteran Care. This involves personal contacts via inbound phone calls with Veterans, beneficiaries and other stakeholders for the purpose of advising and providing information on benefits and rights: explains legal provisions, regulations and related administrative practices and their application to specific cases; assisting individuals in developing needed documents and evidence required, or in resolving errors, delays or other problems in obtaining benefits. Review, apply judgment, and discretion when making determinations. Responding to interagency communications, through various modalities, by reviewing tasks, making decisions, updating system information, and providing a timely, concise, and clear response. Experience independently composing and preparing responses to inquiries in those cases where written replies are required.
