Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Senior Manager of Design & Construction to join our Essentials Portfolio team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Franchise Organization team, where you'll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role
The Senior Manager of Design and Construction will influence and carry out forward-thinking initiatives and evolving brand updates related to the role's responsibilities. They will assist the team with hotel project tasks and grow skills in active listening and thoughtful communication.
-Assist with project reviews and dialogue between architects, contractors, and other outside consultants throughout the design & construction process.
-Be fully knowledgeable and conversant on Hyatt's established brand components, design documents, and technical standards.
-Ensure adherence to standards is met in all phases of the project cycle through hotel opening.
-Liaise and interface with the hotel project team in a collaborative, team-focused manner.
-Assist with strategic and valuable visits, both in person and virtually, to oversee the construction process and guide projects successfully.
-Help determine, in collaboration with internal development teams, appropriate opportunities, boundaries, and flexibility for projects to be successful.
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
-8 years with long tenure working for or with hotel brands focusing on design and/or construction
-Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, interior architecture, or related field required
Experience Preferred:
-Construction certifications and/or architecture license
-Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Blubeam Revu, Autodesk AutoCAD, Smartsheet
Additional Comments:
-Ability to travel throughout the Americas approximately 30-40%
-Must understand architectural drawings/specifications and have familiarity with ADA/IBC regulations
-Knowledge of various building @types, MEP systems, construction planning processes, and cost methods
-Management, people leadership, or mentor experience is valued

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000. This position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
