Job Title: Accounting ManagerJob Description

Join a dynamic company specializing in the production of specialty sauces, marinades, spreads, and condiments using organic, non-GMO, and clean-label ingredients. We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting functions, ensuring precise financial management and reporting. This position is pivotal in supporting the Accounting, AP/AR, and Payroll processes.

Responsibilities

Manage the monthly close process, ensuring timely development of financial statements for all companies.

Prepare worksheets, trial balances, and record journal entries for accruals and recurring/standard activities.

Collaborate cross-functionally to develop, document, and administer accounting and business controls, including inventory management and AR/AP policies.

Maintain and update weekly/monthly business performance dashboards, analyze data, and provide feedback and recommendations on key variances and opportunities.

Monitor inventory valuation, create usage reports, identify slow-moving inventory, and process inventory adjustments.

Review and reconcile payroll submitted to the third-party payroll company, ensuring accuracy in general ledger posting.

Maintain fixed asset records and related depreciation schedules, including preparation of municipal property tax declarations.

Assist in the development and maintenance of budget and forecast models.

Prepare weekly corporate KPIs for CFO and CEO.

Ensure compliance with weekly 13-week cash flow reports and certificates.

Prepare monthly and quarterly bank compliance certificates.

Oversee AP, AR, and Payroll processes.

Handle ad hoc requests from the private equity firm and assist with financial audits.

Oversee insurance renewals, including property, casualty, and executive lines.

Essential Skills

At least 5 years of experience in Accounting, preferably at the Manager level.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in general ledger, month-end processes, and financial reporting.

Knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Work Environment

This role requires on-site presence in Westbrook, ME, five days per week. The company has recently invested in a new SQF-certified facility, ensuring enhanced food safety and production capabilities. The leadership team remains stable, maintaining continuity in company culture and operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
