The Accounting Analyst provides support for the Procure to Pay Process (P2P) including executing month-end close activities, performing account reconciliations, analyzing financial data and supporting audit requests. Additionally, it contributes to system testing and analysis and leads process improvement initiatives within the Accounts Payable department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Identifies opportunities for improvement within the Procure to Pay process and collaborates cross-functionally with sourcing, planning, and IT teams.
Recommends and implements process enhancements to increase efficiency
Assists in gathering project requirements and supports the prioritization of initiatives based on resource availability, timelines, and budget considerations.
Partners with IT perform testing of new and current applications, ensuring functionality and alignment with business needs.
Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs.) Leads training and knowledge transfer across the team.
Prepares and distributes reports for cross- functional teams and compiles data for internal and external audit requests.
Supports month end close activities and performs account reconciliations.
Skills & Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required
2-4 years of experience in Accounting/Finance required
Extensive Excel experience required
Experience with multiple tools to gather and analyze data
Demonstrated success developing tools to improve financial analysis
Successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills with previous experience working with management and large teams on a routine basis
Proven experience working with and influencing cross functional teams in a matrix organization
Previous project management experience a plus
Manufacturing experience a plus
OneStream experience a plus
MAPICS experience a plus

Position located in Medina, MN

Some travel is required
The starting pay range for Minnesota is $67,000 to $83,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
