Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Network Technician to help support our upcoming Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) contract in Diego Garcia in British Indian Ocean Territory.

As a Network Technician, you will install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and remove network components. The Network Technician will perform layouts, installations, terminations, labeling, testing's, and certifications of all associated cabling and ensures compliance with program, industry and base standards.

HOW A NETWORK TECHNICAN WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

? Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, and/or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQURED:

? Security Clearance Level: Active Secret

? Certification: Current CompTIA A+ (DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I)

? Education : Bachelor of Science

? Year's Experience : 2+ years of related experience

? Technical Skills: Networking Fundamentals, Cisco Hardware knowledge, Network Installation and configuration, troubleshooting, Cybersecurity awareness.

? Skills and Abilities :

Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and collaborative skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work.

Supports the timely escalation and communication of status to external and internal customers.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills applied to the development and presentation of technical materials appropriate to a broad spectrum of audiences.

Adept at interfacing with Government at senior leader levels and representing the interests of GDIT

? Location : On Customer Site in Diego Garcia, BIOT.

The likely salary range for this position is $69,264 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
