Job Description:
Program Sr Manager
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is currently seeking a full-time, hybrid Senior Program Manager. The Senior Program Manager will lead, oversee, and be responsible for all work activities under the contract including overseeing task orders related to application development utilizing cloud services, strong financial and program management acumen and be a mentor/coach to team members. The PM provides leadership, communications, and coordination related to all contract matters between GDIT and our customer, and between the local GDIT office and GDIT management offices located in the Northern Virginia area. The Senior Program Manager must also effectively of business and technical efforts of multiple subcontractors and vendors to achieve program objectives. This is a challenging and high-paced position and requires an individual with strong program and project management experience, superb communications skills, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage technical work efforts.
HOW A PROGRAM SR MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Provide overall management of personnel working in a highly technical cloud program
Develop and foster effective relationships with customers at multiple levels, this will include federal contracting officer's
Define and implement effective project management processes tailored to the environment
Guide technical leads and team members in developing technical work plans and deliverables
Develop and/or review cost estimates and basis for estimates for highly technical tasks
Implement financial management rigor of multiple task orders using financial tracking and forecasting methods and tools
Develop effective working relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors
Prepare, Develop and Conduct Program Management Reviews with Sr. Management
Developing Job Requisitions and interviewing candidates

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Knowledge Requirements
:
10-15 years of full-time program management experience
Ability to pass agency level suitability
Previous experience managing complex multi-team programs is preferred
Candidate should have hands-on experience with Agile tracking applications such as JIRA and Rally
Experience
Candidate must be proficient in Government contracts, development and security standards
Candidate must be proficient in planning tools (i.e., work breakdown structure, Gantt chats, critical path analysis, PERT charts, etc.)
The candidate must be proficient in budgeting, financial tracking and report development
Candidate must have excellent communication and writing skills
Education Requirements :
Minimum: 4-year engineering or management degree from an accredited college in operations research, engineering, business, mathematics, or management science
PMP is mandatory
Managing programs on cloud experience is mandatory
AWS certifications are preferred
Scrum certifications are preferred
Candidate should be flexible to go to client site and/or headquarters located in the Northern Virginia Area 2-3 times a month

The likely salary range for this position is $140,250 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
