Finance Associate - School of Medicine 1431590 Hourly pay: $30/hr Worksite: Leading university (Palo Alto, CA 94303 - Hybrid) W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment A leading technology company seeks a Finance Associate - School of Medicine to join the Department of Ophthalmology. The ideal candidate will support our financial operations by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial transactions and processes within the department. Finance Associate - School of Medicine Responsibilities: Review, process, and compile accounting transactions and supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with university policies and applicable regulations. Audit financial transactions and related documentation (e.g., journal entries, receipts, authorizations) for consistency and correctness. Compile, maintain, and verify financial data and daily reports; generate routine financial summaries and reports. Provide customer service support to internal departments regarding financial transactions and university finance policies. Assist with procurement card (P-Card) administration, processing of travel cards, and employee reimbursement requests. Finance Associate - School of Medicine Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or a related administrative field. Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures. Proficiency with computerized office and financial systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills for working with internal stakeholders. Shift: * May require extended hours during peak reporting periods or deadlines.
