The AppleCare Business Decision Science team is seeking a Data Scientist who thrives on tackling challenges and finding creative solutions to stakeholder challenges.
The successful candidate will be a change maker and influencer partnering with internal stakeholder and IS&T teams to design, develop and drive adoption of relevant analytics and information delivery to support business situational awareness and decision making.
Description
This person will be a self-starter who is highly motivated and capable of working independently. At the same time, must be able to collaborate effectively with stakeholder teams across the globe. The role involves building end to end analytic solutions to meet business needs, delivering clear and actionable insights to stakeholders, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve the visibility and impact of analytics provided.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering/Science or related field.
Minimum 5-8 years of applicable experience as a data scientist or business analytics/intelligence professional
Experience of dataset generation and visualization using SQL and visualization platforms such as Tableau/ Power BI.
Proficiency in Python and data manipulation libraries.
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and evaluation metrics.
Strong communication skills and ability to distill information from large data sets and results into simple concepts and actionable insights for a variety of audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering/Science or related field.
A strong passion for analytics with the ability to work closely with business teams, understand business requirements, and handle sophisticated projects related to data-driven initiatives.
Strong visualization skills using Tableau with a keen eye for design.
Can easily cut through ambiguity and can rapidly understand complex business processes and details.
Prioritizes workload, managing multiple and often competing tasks, and meets deadlines for a
variety of deliverables.
Excellent verbal and written communicator with the ability to tailor the message to the audience.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
