On-site Network Operations, Lead

Our work depends on Network Operations, Lead joining our team to oversee operation of the AF local site network. Ensures network, hardware, and software are performing to the SLA standards. Monitors the performance of the network and identifies potential issues and makes recommendations for solutions and implements. Leads the team of network administrators and engineers to ensure the solutions are implemented efficiently and effectively. Supports problem solving and incident response. Collaborates with NOC / NIL resources to ensure the network aligns with the PWS requirements.
HOW A NETWORK OPERATIONS, LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
? Supervises employees engaged in providing information system solutions and technical support in one or more functional areas. Supervises non-exempt Technicians
? Collaborates directly with AF client on planning, moderations and procedures
? Drives client-directed efforts to implement planned changes and procedures
? Leads a high-octane team of highly skilled technicians and operators, providing direction, support, and mentorship as necessary
? Works after-hours and weekends during maintenance windows on-site as needed
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
? Education:
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (Will consider 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree).
? Required Experience:
5+ years of related experience
? Required Technical Skills:
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work.
Experience working directly with hardware vendors involved in the incident resolution process.
Experience with various software systems and architectures, communications protocols: and network hardware devices.
NOC/SOC operations background - you've been in the trenches and know what works
Incident management expertise with a track record of managing complex, multi-team responses
? Security Clearance Level: DoD Secret Level Clearance required
? Required Skills and Abilities:
Experience as Team Leader
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills applied to the development and presentation of technical materials appropriate to a broad spectrum of audiences.
Adept at interfacing with Government at senior leader levels and representing the interests of GDIT
? Preferred Skills:
5+ Years management of local team and part of an Enterprise NOC.
? Location: On customer site JBER, AK

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
