Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Senior Project Manager based in Buffalo, NY.
As part of the LUSA (Lactalis USA) Logistics team, Senior Project Manager (SPM) plays a key role in executing Supply Chain projects that bring value and efficiency in operations. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners (internal and external) to ensure projects are successfully executed and delivered on time. Plays a key role in Logistics integration activities. This position will report to the VP of Supply Chain, Lactalis USA.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
· The SPM will manage multiple LUSA logistics projects that pertain to warehousing and transportation.
· The SPM shares accountability for project outcomes with the responsible business leader.
· For each project, the SPM owns building, aligning, and executing a project plan with the project team to meet the internal and external expectations of the project. This may include a recommendation on a team, resources needed, process changes required, a detailed timeline with critical path, risk analysis, etc.
· The SPM shall maintain a GANTT chart, communicate the status and risk of the project, remove hurdles, identify solutions, document processes, communicate next steps, prepare and present updates and reviews for executive leadership and work directly with the relevant business leader to ensure successful project completion.
· Identify issues/risks and escalate them to the appropriate level.
· Participate with other PMO managers in identifying and proposing best practices and improvement to the project management process
· The SPM will cross-train and back-up other PMs as necessary, learning the key players and execution processes that fall outside of their normal PM scope to enable resource balancing.
· SPM will work with several teams within the Lactalis business units as well as external logistics partners.
· Involves leading project meetings, facilitate effective participation and discussion, and publishing meeting notes.
· Travel may be required 10-15% of the time.
· Extended hours may be necessary depending on the project needs.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
Education
· 4-year college degree (Industrial engineer, Business management, Supply chain management, Logistics, or other relevant discipline) or related experience
Experience
· Proven track record of delivering results and displaying the leadership competencies and values of the organization.
· Has successfully led cross-functional projects or had a significant contribution to the success of projects as a participant beyond their area of functional responsibility.
· Manage project timelines, action plans and risks of the project.
· Ability to thrive under pressure.
· Need to be intellectually agile to switch between the high level view of the project and the details
· Must understand and be able to articulate the roles of each function in a food business setting, the interdependence between functions, and how to lead a team in the most effective manner.
· Must be meticulous enough to create detailed timelines and action plans for the project
· Must have excellent presentation skills.
· Demonstrated ability to influence individual and project performance and project direction by coaching and mentoring in conjunction with their line manager (without direct reporting line)
· CPG experience - specifically in Supply Chain.

· Experience leading complex projects with demonstrated skills to identify and align common interests between internal functions/business entities with different reward structures

· 10+ years of work experience demonstrating the skills required for this position
Competencies
· Strong MS Office proficiency
· Good presentation skills. Being able to synthesize project details into a concise impactful summary adapted to the audience (from VP- and C-level to project team).
