The Position
Administrative Assistants perform a broad variety of clerical, secretarial and administrative support duties in an assigned agency, program or other work unit within State government and the Nevada System of Higher Education.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
The Nevada Health Authority is seeking to fill an Administrative Assistant 3 (underfill for Administrative Assistant 4) located in Carson City. This position plays a vital role within the IT Enterprise & Innovations Unit by providing essential administrative and clerical support to the Unit Chief. Additionally, it serves as a shared resource across the Project Management Office, Business Process Management Unit, and the Contracts and Advanced Planning Unit. The incumbent will be responsible for document remediation to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as well as coordinating and overseeing change management activities. As the Change Management (CM) Coordinator for the Business Process Management Unit, the incumbent manages version control and ensures compliance across multiple CM plans, including those maintained by the fiscal agent, the internal IT Enterprise & Innovations team, and various external vendors. The role also acts as the agency's liaison to the Change Control Board (CCB), coordinating and scheduling meetings, and facilitating collaboration between internal teams, external partners, and the fiscal agent to ensure seamless change management processes. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
