Robert Half Legal is partnering with a prominent, woman-owned family law firm known for handling high-profile and high net-worth divorces. The firm is searching for a dynamic and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to support attorneys in delivering exceptional legal services to clients. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a keen understanding of family law, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment handling high-stakes cases.

Location: Manhattan Beach, CA (Hybrid Model: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

Job Type: Contract-to-hire, Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

Client Interaction: Screen prospective clients, manage calendars, and maintain communication throughout case lifecycles.

Discovery Management: Handle discovery, including requests for production, interrogatories, and responses.

Legal Document Preparation: Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.

Case Research and Information Gathering: Conduct legal research to assist attorneys and gather essential case information for court filings.

File and Document Organization: Maintain and organize comprehensive client files and case documentation for accessibility and accuracy.

Scheduling Coordination: Assist with scheduling client meetings, court appearances, depositions, and other necessary proceedings.

Communication Facilitation: Act as a liaison between attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Trial Preparation: Assist with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, witness lists, and case files. Prepare attorneys for hearings and proceedings.

Courtroom Assistance: Attend court hearings and provide support to attorneys during litigation.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in family law.

Strong understanding of California family law and court procedures.

Proficient in legal research and familiar with eDiscovery tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities.

Proficiency in relevant legal technology and software.

Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program preferred.
