The Los Angeles office of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP, a global law firm seeks an entry level Accounting Assistant that would be responsible for accounts payable of vendor invoices related to specific client. This position requires accounting and advanced administrative and organizational skills.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Activate client matter numbers in firm billing software. Review invoices for accuracy and to ensure all backup documentation has been received. Follow up with internal attorneys or staff and vendors for missing documentation. Update and maintain database with invoice information. Utilize firm billing system and client's E-billing software to create client invoices. Troubleshoot E-billing rejections. Process invoices for payment. Work with accounting personnel to resolve discrepancies on client bills. Create miscellaneous reports from accounting system. Update new case/matters in database. Miscellaneous filing and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); coursework in accounting or economics preferred; minimum of one year of office or accounting experience. Ability to independently, organize and prioritize work assignments. Ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints. Attention to detail, and ability to think creatively. Flexible, able to function independently and confidently as the position responsibilities evolve. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel. Ability to work beyond 40 hours in a work week, when necessary.
