Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in St. Paul, Minnesota. This long-term contract position offers a hybrid work environment and requires a proactive individual to support key financial projects and daily accounting operations. If you have a strong background in manufacturing and accounting, along with excellent problem-solving skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and refine daily financial reporting workflows across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Review and update reconciliations, particularly for fixed assets, and align processes with current standards.

Enter and manage fixed asset data within software systems and general ledger platforms.

Prepare and distribute daily and weekly reports on production activity, sales, cash collections, and other operational metrics.

Collaborate with both finance and operations teams to enhance reporting consistency and understanding.

Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities to maintain financial accuracy.

Identify and implement process improvements to optimize accounting functions.

Provide flexible support for other project-based work as needed. Requirements - Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including data analysis and reporting.

Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and reconciliation processes.

Strong background in process improvement initiatives within accounting.

Solid experience with fixed asset accounting and related software.

Familiarity with manufacturing industry accounting practices.

Ability to manage month-end close activities and general ledger entries.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Experience with daily and weekly financial reporting workflows.
