As a Manager-Construction & Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing and providing expert consultation in the management of contract resources for construction and digital electronics activities, ensuring the efficient installation, maintenance, and optimization of Outside Plant (OSP) and digital facilities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Team Leadership and Supervision:
Supervise and manage teams of technicians, leading regular huddles, assigning tasks, providing feedback, training, and coaching, and evaluating performance
Project Management:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction and engineering projects, working with dispatch to apportion work orders, ensuring work allocation, and maintaining schedules to meet deadlines and budgets
Compliance and Safety:
Conduct in-field safety and quality inspections, ensuring all activities comply with regulations and enforcing safety protocols
Resource and Inventory Management:
Oversee the flow and distribution of inventory and supplies, manage tool budgeting, and procure necessary materials and equipment, coordinating with suppliers for timely delivery
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of project plans, budgets, and resource allocation, reviewing work order close-out narratives, key metric reports, and time entries, and generating project status reports
Job Contribution:
Oversee the daily operations of their team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role focuses on immediate team management, task delegation, and the resolution of day-to-day issues. Typically, lead occupational staff within the organization. Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action and promotional activity for subordinates
Required Experience:
3+ years of related experience
Desired Experience:
Strong Microsoft Suite experience a plus
Field Worker experience (line, splicing, and/or engineering)
Desired Education:
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) preferred
Environmental Requirements:
This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

Our Manager-Construction & Engineering earns between $96,000 - $144,000 annually. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
