Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician plays a critical role in the production and assembly of high-performance electronic components and systems. This position supports the manufacturing process by operating equipment, assembling components, and ensuring quality standards are met in accordance with engineering and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and tools in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Assemble, test, and inspect electronic and mechanical components used in RF, microwave, and power systems.

Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate production.

Perform quality checks and document results to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.

Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S and safety standards.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.

Adhere to all safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions or incidents.

Support cross-functional training and job rotation as needed under the CBA framework.

Accurately complete production logs, time tracking, and other required documentation.

Essential Skills

Mechanical aptitude

2-5 years previous manufacturing experience

Problem-solving skills

Team-oriented

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with production, inspection, and assembly processes

Proficiency in quality assurance and machine operation

Ability to use hand tools and interpret blueprints

Familiarity with cleanroom environments and quality inspection techniques

Ability to use micrometers and perform heavy lifting

General labor skills

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, climate-controlled, and organized. Employees have their own workstations in a quiet and calm setting that is well-lit. The first shift schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of State College, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
