Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Orrville, Ohio. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization within the agriculture industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes and a proven ability to handle various financial tasks with precision.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure accurate tracking and timely payments.

Perform thorough account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reporting.

Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Handle sales tax filings and ensure timely submissions.

Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial data.

Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting procedures and workflows as needed.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in handling corporate tax, including preparation and filing of tax returns.

Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance.

Experience with journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.

Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable and receivable processes.

Excellent skills in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
