Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-driven Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Oilville, Virginia, and offers an exciting opportunity to manage full-cycle accounts payable while supporting accounts receivable functions. Responsibilities:
Process, verify, and code invoices with accuracy to ensure timely payments.
Manage vendor payments using ACH, checks, and wire transfers while maintaining compliance with company policies.
Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies promptly and effectively.
Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including the creation of invoices and tracking of incoming payments.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Support month-end close processes by preparing reports and ensuring all transactions are accounted for.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper account coding and approval workflows are followed.
Monitor compliance with accounting standards and internal policies to maintain financial integrity.
Requirements
At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable and/or accounts receivable functions.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to prioritize work effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
