Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Medina, Ohio. In this role, you will play a key part in managing essential accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy of financial operations within the construction industry. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while enhancing your expertise in construction accounting.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice review and timely payments.

Perform job costing tasks to track project expenses and profitability.

Handle billing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing.

Manage accounts receivable, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.

Assist in month-end close procedures to prepare financial reports and reconciliations.

Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and bank statements.

Create and post journal entries to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.

Support construction-related accounting processes and cost tracking. Requirements - Proven experience in journal entries and general ledger management.

Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Proficiency in bank reconciliations and month-end close procedures.

Knowledge of job costing and construction accounting practices.

Familiarity with tracking construction costs and project expenses.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
